Eclipse Patented Micro-needling and PRP Combination Therapy

It’s time to clear the clutter on your bathroom counter. While an investment in creams, serums, and other hope-in-a jar-type of products is admirable, their efficacy is questionable, as the tell-tale signs of aging—like dreaded fine lines and wrinkles—remain, as do bothersome acne scars, age spots, and hyperpigmentation. There is a single solution to all these common skin conditions that you can only find through Eclipse with its latest MicroPen® EVO micro-needling and PRP (platelet-rich plasma) combination therapy. Physicians continue to discover new and effective uses of PRP to treat numerous conditions—now finally among them a reduction of fine lines and wrinkles. Through a judicious and proven combination of PRP and micro-needling, patients are enjoying a much more youthful appearance simply by using the body’s own growth factors.

How it Works

This minimally invasive combination procedure helps initiate the cell therapy processes by utilizing the growth factors within platelets, revolutionizing the reversal of skin aging and damage. As blood flow slows with age, scars start to appear on the face and body, as does sun-damaged skin around the eyes, translucency on the back of the hands, and loose skin and wrinkles around the mouth. PRP helps to repair these tell-tale signs of aging, which is why the use of PRP to regenerate skin tissue cosmetically has exploded in popularity.

What PRP Facial Rejuvenation Therapy Can Do for You

  • Combo micro-needling and PRP cannula injections for a rejuvenated facial appearance
  • Combination PRP micro-needling and hyaluronic acid fillers layered with PRP injections for glowing, plumped, and smoother skin
  • Reduction of crepey-looking skin on neck
  • Reverse visible skin damage and age spots in décolleté area
  • Repair cellular damage (sun spots and wrinkles) from the sun on hands

About Micro-Needling

Micro-needling with the Eclipse MicroPen® EVO can be used on multiple areas, including the face, neck, décolleté, and even the hands and arms. It creates controlled micro-injuries to the skin in order to aid in the production of collagen and elastin. Collagen is the body’s protein that keeps the skin looking youthful—yes, that smooth, stretchy texture you remember from “back in the day.” Aging is the enemy of collagen; its decline contributes to wrinkle, fine lines, creases, and sagging. The skin can also experience a reduction in collagen because of acne scars, stretch marks, and other “skin injuries.”

To combat the body’s natural reduction of collagen, the heat is turned up, literally, with the MicroPen® EVO, the latest micro-needling laser technology on the market. With the swipe of the pen, the skin’s repair process begins, resulting in a thicker epidermis, a softer appearance of wrinkles, and a visible reduction in common skin issues. Eclipse MicroPen® EVO also creates micro-channels, which allow medical-grade topical gels, creams, and serums to be absorbed more effectively, enhancing the effects in deeper layers of the skin.

About PRP Therapy

First, platelets. They are a natural source of numerous growth factors available in their natural and biologically determined ratios. Next, platelet-rich plasma. This is a concentrated preparation of your own platelets and the associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma. The Eclipse PRP® system utilizes a patented separator gel technology, not available anywhere else, to isolate your platelets while eliminating their undesirable components–red blood cells and inflammatory white blood cells. The concentration of platelets and, thereby, the concentration of growth factors in PRP, can be five to 10 times greater (think richer) than whole blood. The plasma in PRP stimulates a patient’s cells naturally, causing them to produce more collagen and nutrients to the skin’s cells to improve the appearance of wrinkles, scars, and other effects of aging.

Although PRP has been used for various conditions for many years from everything to hair loss treatment to faster healing in injured athletes, it has only more recently become a widely used treatment for anti-aging treatments. Recent medical studies have shown that almost all patients who receive PRP therapy for acne scar reduction experience a noticeable result, especially compared to common topical treatments for acne scarring, such as vitamin C.

About Eclipse Patented Micro-needling and PRP Combination Therapy

The powerful combination of micro-needling and PRP can be used to treat acne scars, surgical scars, stretch marks, wrinkles and fine lines, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin texture. It can be performed on the face and body and is suitable for all skin types and colors. A PRP and micro-needling combo can create more tightness in the skin and speed the healing process by utilizing growth factors in platelets to reduce aging and damage by regenerating skin tissue.

What to Expect

For the PRP injection, you’ll have a small amount of blood drawn from the arm. It is then taken to a lab and placed in a centrifuge which separates the blood into layers. Then, the blood that contains the highest concentration of platelets is injected into the face with the MicroPen® EVO pen via micro-needling. It’s a fairly quick and painless process as the doctor or technician simply swipes the pen over the areas you want treated. Total treatment time is about an hour. New cell growth can take weeks to months, which is why the treated areas look better as more time passes.

Most patients require three or more combination treatments for noticeable results. The results of PRP lasts significantly longer than other aesthetic procedures, such as Botox or fillers, with noticeable results of up to 18 months to two years. Patients who have used PRP and micro-needling report a smoother overall appearance to the skin, with fine lines and wrinkles almost airbrushed away. Many report a reduction in wrinkles, plumping of sagging skin, smoothing or elimination of deep creases, diminished acne scars, and an overall brighter, clear complexion.
